Utah lake Demos

It was great to show up in Utah again and stop off at Ozone Head Quarters!! I love to come back and see that my job has been working! When people want kites, we try to give em what they want!!

I get the easy job of giving them a drug like the Zephyr!! Then I hook em on something they want! What an addiction, who would have thought people get so hooked on kiting! I know that I have a problem, I am an addict. I don't know what I would do if I didn't kite. Or have good kites to fly! My addiction has brought me across the country now a couple of times and all I want is more, more, more!

I hope my addiction has rubbed off! I know it has in Utah. With there being just two different riders, an Ozone rider or just the other guy! Do you want to be just the other guy? Your still cool other guy but you would be way happier on my drug! OZONE!! I accept all kiter friends but I guarantee you will have a bigger smile with me! Try it you might like it, Catalyst, C4, Edge, Zephyr's......

A kite for every rider. If you are just starting or are a surfer the Catalyst is your ticket. If you're a ripper or just a fun rider C4 might float your boat! If you're fast and furious, you might want the fast moving high jumping feel of the Edge. Or If you need a kite for the light wind to the heavy you better get the Zephyr, my one-kite quiver!!

I love them all. Just depends on how you want your ride to feel or how you want to feel your ride! Remember no lame ass PULLEYS! Direct to kite feel and just smiles after that!

I know my cronies in Utah love em! They just need to sell last years 09's to buy this years 2010 now!!

If you an't got no money save it for the one kite that matters, the ZEPHYR. I pinched all my pennies to get one you should too!

Ozone World Championships Course Racing, Corpus

I don't get it? I drive this crazy truck around and everybody just stares!! I think it looks normal to me now..? But before, it did look a little strange and tall! I have yet to find a person say that is the dumbest idea. But I have caught so many people circling and taking pictures of Georgie Fuso. She seams to be a eye catcher and I think it is the paint job!

After having such a crazy long winter, which is still kicking it apparently! I drove Georgie down south to support the Ozone team in the World Championships! WOW. I was impressed to see so many competitors from the entire world! With a few of them not showing up because of the Iceland Volcanoes, erupting and messing up the air plane traffic because of all the ash!!

But those of the athletes that did make it. They put on a great show for the Corpus Christie locals! With the race course set right out front of the beach. It was sweet to see some of the action!! With the venue right up front with at least one of the jibing buoys there, a huge up wind tack and also the start and finish! You couldn't really tell what was going on when the racers where doing there upwind tacks. The Racers were just motoring so fast and far up wind!! that if you didn't have bionic eyes you didn't see anything!!

It was still amazing to see. I really enjoyed stepping back and being a spectator for once. Seeing the race starts is inspiring, I know for a fact that being in the race start is INTENSE!! A little different than snow but the same concept of jocking, watching and listening to the horns and flags. Being able to see it was great! The starts are like a flock of seagulls all following each other with rhythm and rhyme!

The water racing is way more competitive I feel than the snow. Every body on water has crazy gear and race boards, and I guess fins have everything to do with FAST! Also kites apparently!! With the Ozone Edges coming out on top and dominating the event!!

I have to also congratulate all the Ozone athletes that came and competed! With Chip Wasson coming in top 10 and Adam Koch coming in numero UNO #1!!!!! Also on the ladies side Kari Schibevaag from Norway just killed the entire woman's fleet!! Good Job!!

Heise Hot Springs and New Locations

So I know some of the coolest people in the world!! Or at least it feels that way sometimes!! With Noah Poritz being the absolute man, always! He manages to find some of the best snowkite spots in the west!! Also finding the right land owners and asking them if we can fly kites on there land.

So that said! Noah found us a new spot right near Rerie, Idaho near town. I guess the spot has never been ridden and we were the first? It was a good feeling to have permission because it turned out to be a mini kite fest!

We had about 8 riders at the new spot. I think I am going to name it the Dragons Wave. With there being massive irrigation sprinklers for crops and a gigantic cornice to hit, Dragons wave sound suitable. With a little help naming the place from my new friend Francis. A young lady, 12 years old and ripping it up with a kite!

I was amazed to see such a young girl the size of a feather riping it up on a 7m Frenzy! The spot was perfect for her, Francises first time to get into terrain. Francis was tearing it up!! Going up and down the 15ft cornice and motoring on the flats. She was at times going faster than me!! With her mom Melissa also trying to set speed records she was hauling ass on the 10m Manta!! Melissa said, "They clocked me on a GPS at skyline going 40mph!" I love to see the lady's just tearing it up!! Excspeacialy Francis the young gun with no fear and ambition to try a new sport! She is a ripping skier and got a hold of a kite and within a few days she was ripping faster and harder than the boys! Good Job Francis and keep it up!!

With all the Mantas out for demo, I actually took the time with Amanda to pump up some C4's on the snow! WoW!! Rare for me to pump on the snow but still fun to fly a inflatable on the snow. We rode the 13m C4 and also the 9m C4. With Amanda being liter it all worked out on sizes. We still traded off only to see Amanda get super powered! She still had fun laying over the skis! I had a great time doing step ups and jump transitions in the quarter pipe section of the cornice. Also jumping straight off the cornice was a blast. We got a lot of lookers, while riding at the Dragons Wave. We even had the cops, Fedex guy, the owners of the land and also alot of local folk stopping and watching for a good period of time. It was great to have a little peanut gallery!

After about 4 hours of kiting we took lunch and decided with Amanda to go to the Heise Hot Springs. How fortunate that we kite a new spot and 2 minutes down the road there is a sweet little hot spot to soak our sore bones!

It was so cool at the hot springs. With about 15 locals coming in and asking us if we are the kiters in the crazy R.V. outside. Alot of them ended up actually watching us in the afternoon at the Dragons Wave and heard that we were at the hot springs so they came for a dip and to speak with us about snow kiting.

I love our sport! Quite, none polluting, and beautiful to watch!! It really attracts a different crowd! And we except them all with open arms.

Wyoming and having it Dialed!!

So Wyoming!! Dude!! The Wyoming Boys got it figured out. These guys all go riding almost every single day!! Within about one hour of Jackson Hole, Wyoming we traveled North, South, East, West but always got it! I stayed in Jackson for 7 days and kited 6 days! I had to take a day off!! Sometimes you need break to do laundry and clean dishes also to revamp the Muscles!

I must say that Jackson has it all. With the snow being perfect. The terrain being even better! Also some of the smooothest winds you will ever get to snow kite with! Not only that you can look on the web and figure out where to go. And be there when it hits, in the morning or afternoon!!

I have to really hand it to the Jackson Boys for making our trip turn out so great! They should really stop tuning skis and working at ski shops and just become bad ass guides!! Because they know whats up!!

The spots they ride are really world class. From Togotee Pass, Boundurant, Rim spot, Ririe, Sublet Peak, and abroad. If you want more info and or weather conditions go to

Salt trucks and Vermont Pancake Syrup!

Nasty, nasty , nasty. I don't know why the east coaster use so much salt on the roads? Does sand just not do the trick? Or is it because the auto makers and the car washes have a in with the state to dirty up all the cars!! So they can make more money!!? Out of there syrupy slick roads!!

Ah any way, I am glad Killington Vermont is getting snow and also very thankful that we have such good shops representing OZONE! The folks at Base Camp OutFitters just know how to produce stoke for the sport of snow kiting. With there shop at the base of the Killington Ski Resort. Also teaching on a private pond in there back yard!! They wore out there last Projectcloud9 DVD.

If the wind doesn't blow?:( You can go cross country skiing or gravity riding at the Resort anyday! I also respect that they are FREE HEELERS! The ultimate back country tool. telemark skis with skins and claps able poles add a kite = The Ultimate Back Country SNOW KITER!!

Gawking at the C4!

So I have to admit that for the last 5 years I have been missing one thing! My 13m Fuel! But now my dreams totally came true with something more amazing than a old school fuel.

The C4 has totally put smiles on tons of faces!! Everyone that flys it, be it a beginner to advance pilot they all come back and say the same thing, "This C4 is SICK!!!"

With crazy grunt, pull and pop the kite is where you need it. Also it depowers when you don't need it! Not only that I was throwing down so much because the relaunch on the C4 is almost automatic!! With just a easy tug on the steering line the kite relaunchs with easy be it flat water or in the surf.

I also have to say what a boosting mega kite looping fun ride!!!

I guess you have to try it to believe it!!
